I'm sorry to hear that.

Especially sorry, considering Ms. Hallorann reached out to me last night with concerns that you had encountered someone on the estate grounds. I assured her that Jane Madigan occasionally does send people to the estate and that there is no threat to your safety. She told me you seemed distressed, but after she reassured you that there was nothing to worry about, you promised her you would resume work. I understand you left early yesterday.

I hope you feel better soon. In fact, I sincerely hope you feel better today.

Regards,
Mark

Mark, Quinn never got back to me last night after my initial email. I didn't promise her I would resume work?? I did leave early but that's because I felt sick. And I'm throwing up today - sorry if that's too much information, but I kind of feel like you're accusing me of something?

I want to be there as much as you! But I can't help it if I'm sick. Thank you for understanding.

Ben

Mark,

Do you want me to try and send you all the reports I have so far? I really can't work today.

Ben

Go back to the house, Ben. That's where you should be right now.

Hi Mark,

I'm sorry for not getting in touch with you sooner but I've been extremely busy setting up for the research project. Email and internet connection are both very sketchy right now, but Quinn told me it was all right for me to hang onto my reports until I'm back in Asheville. I can still give you working updates if you want, as long as you don't mind them coming in later in the evening.

Unfortunately, I am very sick and currently unable to leave my motel room. I know we're on a tight schedule, and I'm very sorry. I hope I can recover quickly.

Thank you,

Ben
