MASQUERADE VI

   He is leaving me.

I have been so long alone so long I cannot bear this I cannot bear to let him leave I cannot let him go

                I must.

     I can see him go.

I follow through our words our bond he takes his journal and his axe he strides away I watch I cannot interfere

                             He goes.

       He is leaving me.

He pays no mind to branch or scrawl my scrawlings on the wood and wall the words appearing as he makes his way across the hall

                                            And out.

         I can follow him.

I drag myself through rotted doors for him I leave this place I break away uproot myself my blood these words upon the walls

                                                                  I go.
